Package received not new, opened and resealed. . . . . Aug 03, 2010

These Lobelia seeds had been previously opened and resealed before they were sent to me. There definately were NOT 350 seeds in the package (as stated) but the hundred or so remaining are plenty for a nice, full hanging basket. Seller was SCS Collectibles, Inc, so perhaps they are previously owned seeds collected by them - however the package says "350 new seeds." We planted these seeds this month (August) for a Fall and Winter hanging basket to brighten the back porch until late Spring, because we live in an area of the Southwest Desert that has relatively mild weather all Winter. (It just gets too hot too fast here in the SPRING for planting anything, so we enjoy Fall gardens that usually add color way into the Spring.) Be sure to add a protective cover (plastic berry baskets are great!) to these sprouts because they are IRRESISTIBLE TO BIRDS. Press the basket into the soil a little as the larger birds will try to move it, or lay a oven or cooling rack on top of the berry baskets, til the sprouts are established.

My package of seeds had nothing in it! No tears! No Holes! Sealed and empty! Unless they were imaginary seeds! Plus, I sent a few emails to the company and I received one reply saying they were sorry and they were sending out another...than they replied to another email I sent telling me they were sending me out another 2 packages of seeds..total of 3.. I only ordered one! I wouldn't waste my time!

Well, this is the first year that I've actually tried planting or gardening anything, so I'm definitely new to things. I was very nervous that I wouldn't be able to get the lobelia to grow, especially indoors, but things started sprouting in under 2 weeks, which is far sooner than the package said. Quite pleased!
I've purchased several different types of seeds, from flowers to herbs to veg, and this one has been showing me the most luck. While they're still tiny, I do feel that there's almost full germination and without using mats and all the rest (which I was worried about, even being in So. Cal with the cool weather we're having).
I wanted to try them in some professional Jiffy peat pellets, and they seem to be thriving well in them so far. They're far too small to count, but I would say there is at least close to what is advertised on here, seed-wise, and I'm seeing about as much as I added to each pellet sprouting. They're continue to grow larger and still look green, vibrant and healthy, but I'll try to to remember to update when they're more mature.

I wasn't very happy with this product. I don't feel that their were 350 seeds in the package. You would need to buy more of this product to actually get the look of a full basket. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone.

alot of money for nothing. Nothing ever sprouted and I wasted my money, don't waste yours because you will be sorry you did.
