This is a Spanish lavender so expect spectacular blooms. However since it is Spanish it does not have the true scent of Lavender like Hidcote or Munstead. You can overwinter this indoors after you cut it back. Grows only 18 inches so it is happy in a pot.

I put these in a seed tray and it took them a few more days than some of the other seeds I planted, but they sprouted well. Now the seedlings are growing beautifully.

I started the French Lavender indoors with soil sand mix in a container with a light source and heater within five days I had shouts of lavender growing.

I bought lavender seeds from about 5 different companies through Amazon. I planted all at the same time in separated starter trays with the same starter mix of soil. These were the first to pop up out of the starter soil. Actually saw sprouts after the second day. I was amazed since all the packets said to expect 2 weeks. Maybe I've outgrown my black thumb? Anyway, these certainly surprised and motivated me with their sudden appearance. We'll see how they do in the long run.
