5STUNNING LITTLE SUNFLOWERS!  Apr 27, 2012

I planted these last summer in rich potting soil in containers that were well-drained. They all grew and bloomed here in the Hill Country of Texas during an extreme drought year, with heads about 3 in. in diameter and plants about 2 1/2 feet tall. I watered them regularly. After blooming, the plants all developed some kind of mildew and died, but while blooming, I received many compliments from neighbors. I'd grow them again!
