Prolific, drought and heat tolerant, these are pure joy to grow! Jul 19, 2010

"Just the facts please"
These Teddy Bear dwarf sunflowers are such FUN to grow, and just the right height (about 3 feet) for KIDS to delight in. Swarms of birds feed on them when they are mature, so plant plenty! We planted our group in front of an old trellis screen that we found in someone's bulk trash. We put in a post at each end, fastened them to the screen, and then tied each sunflower loosely to the screen when it reached over two feet tall. Just for support in the wind, tho, not really needed, but the top flower IS large and heavy, so a precaution.
Since we live in the Desert Southwest, the Spring and Summer times are too harsh to start growing ANYTHING, even trees, so we soaked the seeds overnight and planted them in those small flat round peat pods (you hydrate first to make a little pot.) ALL the seeds sprouted very well! When they became sturdy little seedlings, we put them outside. Its very warm here in the Fall, so we just kept them MOIST until they were established (about two weeks.)
All Winter into late Spring, grouped together! These sunflowers are unusual and make everyone in the neighborhood think YOU are talented! But the truth is, they are NO WORK at all! They need water frequently as they grow to 3 feet, but not much of anything after that. All this FUN for the price of a packet of seed - with FREE shipping from JD PowerSellers! Teddy Bear Sunflower Seeds!

Whimsical for your garden Mar 14, 2007
By Ima Goober I found these for the first time a couple years ago. They are really a blast. The main blooms can be nearly a foot in diameter while secendary blooms about 6-7in. They are so delightful. They really do look more like a yellow pom pom then a sunflower. The heads to get pretty heavy and can weigh on the plant. But you will be delited with the unique beauty. I certainly was. Your friends will be impressed with your gardening abilities.
So cute! Jan 19, 2012
By M. E. Maas (first off... I completely planted these in the wrong area... there wasn't enough depth to the soil)
The flowers were a great compliment to my sunflower garden! I've never had Teddy Bears before, and will definitely be sure to grow them again. They were very short though, I might think of making them a planter flower.
HORRIBLE Feb 21, 2011
By Amy I got the sunflowers about a week after i ordered them in an envelope. I open the envelope and bits of seeds start falling out. Turns out there was a huge hole in the bottom of the seed packet, and i would say 40% of the seeds were crushed! I do not think the hole was made during its shipment as it looked like it had been intentionally ripped. DO NOT buy from this seller.

fast shipping! Nov 24, 2007
By T. cao I ordered these seeds for my science fair project that I'm doing on germination and I was freaking out because I thought it woudn't arrive on time(I'm a big procrastinator). But I ordered something else with these and that item hasn't arrived yet, so No Thyme Productions delivers these to you as fast as they can. This arrived on time and even earlier than I expected.
